Product care & directions for use

Room Sprays

Product Care and Directions for Use for Room Sprays

Directions for Use:

  1. Shake Well: Before using the room spray, make sure to shake the bottle well. This ensures that all the ingredients are properly mixed for optimal performance.
  2. Test First: If you’re using the room spray for the first time, it’s a good idea to test it in a small, inconspicuous area. This helps ensure that the spray doesn’t cause any adverse reactions with your furniture or fabrics.
  3. Spray Away: Hold the bottle upright and point it away from your face. Press the nozzle and spray lightly into the air, aiming towards the center of the room. For best results, spray in a sweeping motion to evenly distribute the scent.
  4. Avoid Direct Contact: Do not spray directly onto surfaces, fabrics, or pets. Room sprays are designed to freshen the air, not to be used as a cleaner or deodorizer for surfaces.
  5. Ventilation: For a more pleasant and lingering scent, ensure the room is well-ventilated. This allows the fragrance to disperse more evenly and prevents it from becoming too concentrated.

Product Care:

  1. Store Properly: Keep your room spray in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. This helps maintain the integrity of the fragrance and prevents the bottle from becoming damaged.
  2. Keep Away from Children and Pets: Store the spray out of reach of children and pets to avoid accidental ingestion or contact, which can be harmful.
  3. Clean the Nozzle: Occasionally, the spray nozzle can become clogged. If this happens, remove the nozzle and rinse it under warm water, then dry it thoroughly before reattaching it to the bottle.

By following these care and usage instructions, you can enjoy a fresh and pleasant-smelling environment in your home with ease.

Reed Diffusers

Product Care and Directions for Use for Reed Diffusers

Directions for Use

Unpack the Diffuser:

  • Gently remove the cap or seal from the bottle of fragrance oil.
  • Place your decorative cap on the bottle after removing the seal.

Insert the Reeds:

  • Insert the reed sticks into the bottle. Ensure that they are evenly spaced to allow for optimal fragrance diffusion.
  • For best results, use all the reeds provided with the diffuser.

Initial Absorption:

  • Allow the reeds to absorb the fragrance oil for about 1-2 hours.
  • After this initial absorption, flip the reeds so that the saturated ends are exposed to the air. This helps to kickstart the diffusion process.

Placement:

  • Place your reed diffuser in a high-traffic area, such as a hallway or living room, where air circulation will help distribute the fragrance.
  • Avoid placing the diffuser near open windows or vents, as excessive airflow can disperse the scent too quickly.

Product Care

Flip the Reeds:

  • To maintain a consistent scent, flip the reeds every 1-2 weeks. This refreshes the fragrance and keeps it strong.

Clean Up Spills:

  • If any fragrance oil spills, clean it up immediately to prevent damage to surfaces. Use a damp cloth with mild soap and water for best results.

Avoid Direct Sunlight and Heat:

  • Keep the diffuser out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources, as this can cause the fragrance oil to evaporate more quickly.

Keep Out of Reach of Children and Pets:

  • Place the diffuser in a safe location to prevent accidental ingestion or spillage.

Avoid Contact with Skin and Eyes:

  • Fragrance oil can cause irritation. If contact occurs, rinse the affected area with plenty of water.

Do Not Ignite Reeds:

  • Reeds are flammable. Do not light them and keep them away from open flames.

By following these care and usage instructions, you can enjoy the continuous, pleasant aroma of your reed diffuser and create a welcoming atmosphere in your home.

Candle jars

Thank you for choosing Sunday Willow candles! To ensure you enjoy a safe and pleasant experience, please follow these simple care and directions for use:

Directions for Use:

Trim the Wick

Before each use, trim the wick to about 6mm to prevent excessive smoking and ensure a clean, even burn.

First Burn:

Allow the candle to burn for at least 2-3 hours the first time you light it. This helps create an even wax pool and prevents tunnelling (where the candle burns down the centre and leaves wax on the sides).

Burn Time:

For best results, do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This helps maintain the candle’s integrity and prolongs its life.

Safety Precautions:

Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface.

Keep the candle away from flammable objects and out of reach of children and pets.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Extinguishing the Candle:

Use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid using the lid to extinguish the candle as this can cause smoke and soot.

Product Care

Storage:

Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discolouration and fading of the wax and fragrance.

Cleaning:

If any wax spills, allow it to harden before gently scraping it off surfaces. For glass containers, use warm, soapy water to clean any residue.

Wick Maintenance:

Regularly check the wick for any debris or build-up. If the wick becomes too long or starts to mushroom, trim it to maintain a clean burn.

Recycling:

Once the candle has burned down to about 12mm of wax, discontinue use. You can clean out the jar using warm soapy water and repurpose it as a container.

Hanging car diffusers

Car diffusers are a fantastic way to keep your vehicle smelling fresh and inviting. To ensure you get the most out of your car diffuser, follow these simple directions and care tips.

Directions of Use:

Attach the Diffuser:

  • Securely attach your car diffuser to your rearview mirror our any other sturdy place in your car. Be sure the diffuser isn’t obstructing your view.

Activate the Diffuser:

  • Un-screw the bottle from the wooden top and remove the plastic seal/plug inside
  • Carefully re-attach the bottle to the wooden top
  • Once attached turn upside down for 1-2 seconds, until you notice the wooden top absorbed with liquid
  • Do this every time you notice the wooden top dry or simply want an instant refresh

Store Properly

  • If you need to store the diffuser for an extended period, ensure the plastic seal/plug is back in place before storing to avoid any leaks
  • Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Safety Tips:

Avoid Direct Sunlight:

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the essential oil to degrade and reduce its effectiveness.

Keep Away from Children and Pets:

  • Ensure the diffuser and essential oils are kept out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion or spills.

Ventilation:

  • Ensure your car has proper ventilation when using the diffuser, especially if you are sensitive to strong scents.

By following these directions and care tips, you can enjoy a pleasant and refreshing atmosphere in your car, making every journey more enjoyable.

Wax melts

Product Care

  • Keep your wax melts in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Handle wax melts with clean, dry hands to avoid transferring oils or dirt onto the wax
  • Store wax melts in their original packaging or in an airtight container to preserve their fragrance
  • Avoid exposing wax melts to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, to maintain their integrity and scent

Directions of Use

  • Ensure your wax warmer or burner is clean and free from any previous wax residue.
  • Place your wax warmer on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects.
  • Break off a piece of the wax melt or use a whole melt, depending on the size of your warmer and preference.
  • Place the wax melt in the dish or bowl of the warmer.
  • Allow the wax to melt completely. The fragrance will begin to diffuse into the air as the wax melts.

Safety:

  • Do not leave the wax warmer unattended while in use.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not add water or any other substance to the wax melt.
  • Ensure proper ventilation in the room where the wax warmer is used.

After Use:

  • Turn off or extinguish the heat source and allow the wax to cool and harden completely.
  • Remove the cooled wax by gently pressing on it or using a soft cloth to wipe it out. If it doesn’t come out easily, you can place the dish in the freezer for a few minutes to help the wax pop out.

Reuse and Disposal:

  • Wax melts can be reused until they no longer emit fragrance. Simply re-melt them as needed.
  • Once the scent is gone, dispose of the used wax properly. Do not pour melted wax down the drain.

By following these care and usage directions, you can extend the life of your wax melts and enjoy their delightful scents safely and effectively.
